EBO Group, Inc. Creates Lean Clean Green Initiative

The EBO Group, Inc., located in Sharon Center, Ohio, is pleased to announce that the company took an important step to actively practice green, environmentally friendly initiatives. On January 13, 2009, twenty-five EBO employee owners met and formed the Lean Clean Green Initiative (LCGI). This new group will work together to sponsor a host of environmental activities both within the company and the community.

LCGI is composed of 4 subcommittees, each with its own focus: 1) recycling, 2) energy and waste reduction, 3) LCGI at home and 4) public relations/community. Individuals on the committees will volunteer their time to plan and implement activities that find ways to implement "lean" by eliminating waste. The committees will seek out methods to be "clean" by reducing the carbon footprint of the company. LCGI will be "green" by adapting our lifestyles to do less damage to the environment and the entire "initiative" will bring about a momentum to change for the better.

EBO Group is committed to making a positive impact on the environment, both locally and globally. Earth Day, 2009 will serve as a focal point for the kickoff of numerous environmental activities by the LCGI. Working closely within and partnering with our neighbors, EBO Group plans to make a positive impact on the environment.

As its name suggests, EBO Group, or Excellence By Owners, is dedicated to the concept of employee-owners working towards a common goal of continuous success through excellence at every level of the operation. All EBO Group employee-owners share in the rewards of the success enjoyed by each of the subsidiary companies. The employee stock ownership program was established as a way to evolve ownership from the original founders to the employees.  The EBO Group, currently with 77 employees, is an umbrella organization that is home to four, fully-owned subsidiaries: PT Tech; TransMotion Medical, Inc.; IPESsol; and Triton Hybrid Drives, Inc.
