EBO Group, Inc. Receives 2009 Excellence In Business Award

Keith Nichols, President of EBO Group, Inc. accepts the Greater Akron Chamber Excellence In Business Award.

Akron, OH - EBO Group, Inc. a Sharon Center manufacturer received the 2009 Excellence In Business Award on June 5, 2009 at the Sheraton Suites Hotel in Cuyahoga Falls. A Greater Akron Chamber Award, it recognizes and honors businesses that demonstrate outstanding performance, growth, staying power, innovation, and leadership in the community. EBO was one of only five area Greater Akron businesses to receive the award.

Keith Nichols, President of EBO Group, Inc. accepted the award which was presented by Dave Gaino, Chairman of Apple Growth Partners, an event sponsor.

"On behalf of all the employee owners or EBO Group, we are very are honored to receive this award. With our EBO Process and 100% employee ownership culture, innovation comes from all areas of the company," said Nichols.

As its name suggests, EBO Group, or Excellence By Owners, is dedicated to the concept of employee-owners working toward a common goal of continuous success through excellence at every level of the operation. The EBO Group, currently with 66 employees, is an umbrella organization that is home to four, fully-owned subsidiaries: PT Tech (clutches and brakes for extreme machines); TransMotion Medical, Inc. (mobile, motorized stretcher-chairs); IPESsol (solar mobility devices); and Triton Hybrid Drives, Inc. (electric hybrid drives). All EBO Group employee-owners share in the rewards of the success enjoyed by each of the subsidiary companies.
